How To Keep Slim During Christmas

Updated: Oct 16, 2022

It's that time of year again. CHRISTMAS! (and new years eve).

In this blog, I want to share with you my 3 weight loss tips so you don't put on the lb's during this festive season.

1) KEEP MOVING

As you know I take a lot of time off work during December and Christmas. This means I'm not on my feet as much. Therefore this puts a HUGE emphasis on my training to be more intense than ever. Just because you may not be seeing me doesn't give you the green light to slack.

This is why I created an awesome app for my personal training clients. This means they can still work out at home with their bespoke workouts designed by me. I can also monitor whether they have trained which keeps them accountable. However, if your no one my clients then you need to still be scheduling in your training sessions as you would do if it were May or June. Remember. Summer bodies are made in the winter.

2) Liquid Calories

Yes, I admit it. I probably drink a little too much beer during Christmas and new year. That's one thing I haven't mastered just yet. However, I do at least try.

If you have a party to go to make sure you drink plenty of water and eat a big healthy meal before you go. This achieves things. A full tummy. This will limit the quantity you consume and second, it will keep you well hydrated so you won't have a really bad hangover the next day. If you wake up feeling good after the party, the likelihood is you'll make better choices the next day.

3) A little won't hurt. WRONG!

Christmas is the time of year when we indulge and if you've worked hard and kept to the above 2 tips then this may not apply. However, imagine you've just sat down from the table at any time during the Christmas period feeling so full you could pop? I know I have. But two minutes later someone offers you chocolate, and then another, and then another. You may be trying to justify it with "Go on, a little won't hurt". You may be right, "a little" might not hurt. But when do you stop at a little? You don't.

When you're full. You're full. No more.

Anyway, that's it for now. Keep up the great work to all of my clients while I'm away.
